Description

Product Overview

#25 Stainless Steel Sprockets are precision-manufactured for ANSI No.25 roller chain running on a 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) pitch — the smallest and lightest standard ANSI chain pitch in widespread industrial use. Compact, corrosion-resistant, and available in 9 through 60 teeth, this range covers virtually every drive-ratio requirement that arises in fine-pitch conveying, instrumentation, and light-duty automation equipment. Produced at our Hangzhou facility from 304-grade stainless steel, these sprockets serve as direct-fit replacements for equivalent components from Rexnord, Tsubaki, Martin, and Browning, supplied factory-direct without the distribution premiums that those brands carry when sourced through North American or European channels.

The No.25 chain pitch occupies a unique position in the ANSI chain family: small enough to keep sprocket outside diameters well under 5 inches even at 60 teeth, yet standard enough that replacement chain and connecting hardware is universally available. This makes #25 stainless sprockets the first choice for small-format food-processing conveyors, medical-device handling equipment, laboratory automation, and any application where a stainless-steel power-transmission component must fit into a very tight space.

All sprockets in this series are machined to ANSI B29.1 tooth form tolerances. Hub bores are finished to standard dimensions for direct shaft mounting. Custom bore and keyway machining is available as a value-added service with 5–10 working day lead times from our Hangzhou CNC department.

Material & Manufacturing Standards

Every #25 stainless steel sprocket starts as a 304-grade stainless bar or forged blank — material grade confirmed by mill certificate before production release. The tooth form is CNC-hobbed to ANSI B29.1 specifications, which define the seating curve radius, tooth approach angle, and tip relief that govern smooth roller engagement at fine-pitch chain speeds. Because No.25 chain runs at higher rotational speeds than larger-pitch chains for a given conveying velocity, dimensional accuracy at the tooth level has a proportionally larger effect on vibration and noise than it would on a coarser-pitch drive.

After hobbing, all stainless parts undergo acid passivation to ASTM A967. This step removes iron contamination introduced by the cutting tools and restores the passive chromium-oxide surface layer that gives 304 stainless its corrosion resistance. The result is a sprocket that will not rust in wash-down, steam, or mildly acidic environments, and will not shed iron particles onto the product being conveyed — a critical requirement in food, pharmaceutical, and medical-device manufacturing.

Where #25 Stainless Steel Sprockets Are Used

The fine pitch and compact dimensions of No.25 chain and sprockets make this combination the natural choice for machinery categories where both size and corrosion resistance matter simultaneously. The following application types represent the primary current uses of our #25 SS sprocket range.

🍱
Food Processing Equipment
Small-format food conveyors, portion-control machinery, and filling-line drives in dairy, bakery, and snack-food plants where CIP wash-down is routine.
💊
Medical & Pharma Devices
Drug-dispensing equipment, laboratory automation, sample-handling conveyors, and sterile-room machinery where particle contamination from rusty chain drives is unacceptable.
🤖
Light Factory Automation
Pick-and-place gantries, label applicators, and small-format packaging machines with fine-pitch chain drives requiring compact, lightweight stainless sprockets.
🌱
Agricultural Seeders & Feeders
Small-format seeding and feed-dispensing machinery specified to No.25 ANSI chain where outdoor exposure or wash-down cleaning occurs.
⚗️
Laboratory Equipment
Sample transport systems, fraction collectors, and analytical instrument drives that require non-magnetic, non-contaminating stainless-steel drive components.
🛒
Retail & Checkout Conveyors
Point-of-sale conveyor drives and small-item sorting systems in food-retail environments where noise minimisation and corrosion resistance are both required.

Why Source #25 Sprockets from Ever-Power?

The No.25 stainless steel sprocket market is dominated by a handful of established North American and Japanese brands — Rexnord, Martin, Tsubaki, Browning — that price their products through a multi-tier distribution network. When a machine builder or MRO buyer sources equivalent product factory-direct from Hangzhou Ever-Power, the per-unit price advantage over brand-name distributor pricing is typically 40–60%, with no sacrifice in dimensional accuracy or material quality. Our QC process, material documentation, and customer service infrastructure are designed to meet the expectations of industrial buyers who previously sourced exclusively from major brands.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are these sprockets compatible with standard ANSI No.25 carbon-steel chain?+
Yes. The #25 SS tooth profile conforms to ANSI B29.1 and mates correctly with both stainless and carbon-steel No.25 roller chain. For food and wash-down applications, we recommend pairing stainless sprockets with stainless chain to avoid galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals in wet environments.
2. What is the difference between Type A and Type B hub configurations?+
Type B sprockets have a hub (protruding boss) that provides additional shaft engagement length and space for a set screw or keyway — the standard style for driven shaft mounting. Type A (flat or disc-type) sprockets have minimal hub and are used primarily as idlers or in space-constrained applications. Our catalogue listing defaults to Type B unless otherwise specified.
3. Can I get #25 SS sprockets with a non-standard tooth count?+
Yes. Custom tooth counts from 6T upward are available for No.25 chain. Non-standard counts outside the catalogue range require a brief engineering review (typically 1–2 working days) before production is confirmed. Minimum quantity for custom tooth counts is 10 pieces per part number.
4. Do you offer 316L stainless for marine or high-chloride applications?+
Yes. 316L stainless is available across all #25 sprocket configurations. The molybdenum content in 316L provides significantly better pitting resistance in salt spray, seawater, and chloride-rich process environments where 304 stainless may show surface corrosion over time.
5. What documentation is provided with shipments to regulated industries?+
We provide mill certificates for material grade (chemical composition and tensile properties) and dimensional inspection reports to ANSI B29.1 acceptance criteria, both available at no extra charge on request. For pharmaceutical and food-industry suppliers, this documentation typically satisfies standard supplier qualification audit requirements.
