#60 Stainless Steel Sprockets serve ANSI No.60 roller chain at 3/4-inch pitch — a size that genuinely occupies the heavy-conveying tier of the ANSI chain family. At this pitch, the 0.469-inch roller diameter and 1/2-inch inner width combine to handle significant torque and shock loads, making No.60 chain the typical choice for case-conveying systems, agricultural combines and harvesters, heavy-duty packaging lines, and timber-handling equipment. When the application also demands corrosion resistance — fish-processing overhead systems, abattoir floor conveyors, outdoor agricultural installations in wet climates, or brewery floor conveyors — the #60 stainless sprocket becomes a necessity rather than an option.
Our #60 SS range covers 12 through 60 teeth, machined in 304-grade stainless steel to ANSI B29.1 tooth form tolerances at our Hangzhou CNC facility. This series directly replaces Tsubaki RS60SS, Martin 60SS, Rexnord / Browning 60SS, and equivalent heavy-series stainless sprockets from Renold and Dodge — at factory-direct pricing that removes the distribution-chain margins that established brands charge through their authorised distributor networks.
The 3/4-inch pitch also allows #60 sprockets to grow to significant physical sizes: a 60T #60 SS sprocket has an outside diameter of 14.76 inches and weighs 25 pounds. At this size, dimensional accuracy, bore concentricity, and hub face runout become more demanding manufacturing challenges than they are on smaller sprockets — and the consequences of getting them wrong (vibration, chain wear, shortened service life) are proportionally greater. Our production process addresses these challenges through CNC hobbing, first-article inspection, and statistical batch sampling that together produce sprockets performing correctly out of the box.

Why #60 Stainless Outperforms Coated Carbon Steel
In heavy conveying applications, the standard alternative to stainless steel is zinc-plated or black-oxide carbon steel with regular re-lubrication. For many industrial applications this is adequate — but when the environment includes regular wash-down, moisture ingress, food-contact requirements, or outdoor exposure in humid climates, coated carbon steel sprockets face predictable failure modes: the coating wears through at the tooth-contact zone within the first few months of service, bare steel is exposed, and surface rust begins contaminating the chain, the drive, and sometimes the product being conveyed.
304 stainless steel #60 sprockets solve this problem entirely. There is no coating to wear through, no bare steel to rust, and no periodic recoating or replacement programme to manage. In a food-processing facility running two shifts per day with daily CIP wash-down, a #60 SS sprocket will outlast a coated carbon-steel equivalent by a factor of 3–5× in typical field installations — turning what appears to be a higher purchase price into a significantly lower total cost of ownership when maintenance labour, downtime, and replacement frequency are factored in.
For agricultural machinery applications where abrasive grit and dry-running conditions are the dominant wear mechanism rather than corrosion, C45 carbon steel with high-frequency induction hardening to 40–50 HRC remains the better choice.
